Dafydd Parri
Dafydd Parri was born in Conwy and trained in Normal College, Bangor. He taught in several schools before going to work as a History and Geography teacher in Ysgol Dyffryn Conwy, Llanrwst. He was one of a number of teachers who worked hard to introduce Welsh-medium education to north-west Wales – he wrote and created material for geography coursebooks in Welsh. He established a Welsh book and record shop in Llanrwst in 1955 with his wife. Dafydd Parri started writing books for children in the 1970s, when he created the series Cyfres y Llewod. He also wrote several books for adults. Dafydd Parri died in 2001.
